New! Opioid Treatment Access Line

Opioid Treatment Access Line is a dedicated service designed to support individuals seeking immediate access to opioid agonist treatment (OAT). This resource connects people to same-day treatment options, including methadone, Suboxone, and other forms of medication-assisted therapy.

The Opioid Treatment Access Line is staffed by experienced professionals who provide guidance, referrals, and support to individuals navigating opioid use treatment options. Whether you are looking for help for yourself, a loved one, or a client, this service ensures rapid access to the care and treatment needed.

FREE PRENATAL EDUCATION


The White Rock-South Surrey Primary Care Network in partnership with the Peace Arch Maternity Clinic is offering free prenatal education sessions for those delivering at Peace Arch Hospital.

These sessions are provided in a two-part group format. The first session will help you prepare for labour and delivery while the second session will help you prepare for the postpartum period and bringing your baby home. These sessions will be facilitated by a maternity physician and/or registered nurses.

Upcoming sessions include:
• February 6 and 20, 2025, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• March 6 and 13, 2025, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• April 3 and 17, 2025, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• May 1 and 15, 2025, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Sessions are offered in-person at the Centre for Active Living, 1475 Anderson Street, White Rock.

Register today here. We suggest you register sometime within your second or third trimester and complete the sessions by 36 weeks.

FREE ONLINE BLOOD PRESSURE EDUCATION


Approximately 22% of adults in Canada experience high blood pressure (hypertension). Effective management of your blood pressure can reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes.

White Rock-South Surrey residents are invited to join a free education session on how to effectively manage high blood pressure. Walk away with valuable insights, tips, and practical skills for implementing lifestyle changes that can lower your risk.

Sessions are held every other month on the first Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Zoom. Upcoming sessions include:

• April 4, 2025
• June 6, 2025
• August 1, 2025
• October 3, 2025
• December 5, 2025

Through four interactive 90-minute online sessions, you’ll set goals, develop strategies to overcome barriers, and put what you learn into action—one step at a time.
