Drug Checking - Fraser Valley

Drug checking service that checks for fentanyl and other cutting agents
Fraser Health is offering drug checking at various locations across the region. This is a free and confidential service.

The drug checking utilizes BTNX Fentanyl Test Strips™ that enable individuals to check their drugs for contaminants like fentanyl.

Drugs are checked with a test strip. Then dilute the substance with a small amount of water and a positive or negative for fentanyl is revealed within minutes.

Drug checking for all chemicals is done by the Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR) machine can identify multiple ingredients, including cutting agents. This service is available at SafePoint on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
